HAZY BEACH FIGURES

L’opera rappresenta una scena di spiaggia dai contorni evanescenti, in un’atmosfera sognante e rarefatta: due figure appena abbozzate, presumibilmente giovani, camminano o giocano sul bagnasciuga, immerse nella luce soffusa di un tramonto o di un’alba. L’effetto “sfocato”, dato sia dalla stesura del colore che dalla scelta cromatica tenue, e l’assenza di dettagli nelle figure, inserisce l’opera in una pittura di atmosfera, impressionista o post-impressionista, dove il soggetto non è l’individuo ma il momento, l’attimo. L’idea dell’infanzia, la malinconia, la delicatezza scaturite dall’opera, riportano lo spettatore alla scoperta dei propri e personali ricordi estivi.

The “blurred” effect, given both by the application of the colour andthe subtle colour choice, and the absence of detail in the figures, places thework within an atmospheric painting, be it Impressionist or Post-Impressionist,where the subject is not the individual but the moment, the instant. The idea ofchildhood, melancholy, and delicacy arising from the work bring the viewer backto the discovery of their own personal summer memories.
